This is a smaller set of projects I created as polished references to show my potential tattoo artists.
Hide's Rose & Dagger
(2023)
I've always been a fan of Hideto Matsumoto's music work so I stole one of his tattoos for my own.
The original tattoo image from the 1980s does not exist online so I had to pull from 20 different reference images that were close to the original and re-create what the tattoo was supposed to be like. I might re-draw the hilt, I could never figure out from the previous drawings what it was supposed to look like, so I had to improvise it in version 2.
Winged Hourglass Dividers
(2023)
Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett's novel Good Omens has become a permanent part of my life so it seems fitting to keep something from the show/book. I scanned the Hourglass dividers directly from my copy of the book and cleaned up the lineart in my version.
Haven't quite decided on the size, but the final tattoo will shrink down to under 1 inch.
